Abstract:
A range hood is provided with: a flow regulation plate (9) located within a flow regulation plate cover (3) and disposed facing a suction opening (8); a blower (14) for discharging air within an air flow passage (15) outdoors; and an active noise deadening device (20) for deadening noise propagating through the inside of the air flow passage (15). The air flow passage (15) has dividing walls (18) arranged therein so as to form divided air flow passages (19) located at the portion of the air flow passage which extend from the suction opening (8) to the blower (14) and having sub-divided air flow cross-sectional areas. An error microphone (21) for detecting a noise deadening error and a speaker (22) for emitting a sound wave are arranged on the housing (4)-side inner wall (17) of the divided air flow passage (19), the error microphone (21) and the speaker (22) constituting the active noise deadening device (20).
