Title:
RANGE IMAGE ACQUISITION APPARATUS AND RANGE IMAGE ACQUISITION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/157593
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a range image acquisition apparatus and a range image acquisition method which enable acquisition of a range image by easily distinguishing a pattern projected from the apparatus even when a pattern of structured light is emitted simultaneously from another apparatus. In one aspect, the range image acquisition apparatus (10) is provided with: a projection unit (12) that projects a first pattern of structured light, which is two-dimensionally distributed, to an object within a distance measurement region; a light modulation unit (22) that spatially modulates the first pattern projected from the projection unit (12); an image capture unit (14) which is disposed so as to be parallel to and to be spaced apart from the projection unit (12) by a baseline length, and which captures an image including the first pattern reflecting from the object within the distance measurement region; a pattern extraction unit (20A) that extracts the first pattern that is spatially modulated by the light modulation unit (22) from the image that is captured by the image capture unit (14); and a range image acquisition unit (20B) that acquires a range image indicating a distance of the object within the distance measurement region on the basis of the first pattern extracted by the pattern extraction unit (20A).
