Abstract:
The present invention reduces power consumption in a device which measures a distance by means of a phase difference of light. This ranging device is provided with a phase difference detecting unit and a ranging unit. In the ranging device, the phase difference detecting unit detects a phase difference between light from each of a pair of external light sources. Further, in the ranging device, the ranging unit acquires as known data either the distance to one of the pair of external light sources or the separation of the pair of external light sources, and measures the distance to the other of the pair of external light sources on the basis of the known data and the phase difference.
