Abstract:
The present technology relates to a ranging device, a ranging method, and a ranging system that enable highly accurate distance measurement. A ranging device (23) comprises: a measurement section (172) for measuring the number of response times a light receiving element has responded to incidence of photons on a pixel (81); a weight determination section (173) for determining a weight on the basis of the number of response times; a TDC (151) for counting the time between emission of a light source (32) and an incident timing at which a photon is incident on the pixel (81); a weight processing section (174) for subjecting a count value supplied from the TDC to processing corresponding to a weight; and a histogram generation section (132) for generating a histogram on the basis of the count value subjected to the processing corresponding to the weight. The present technology is applicable to, for example, a ranging system and the like for detecting a distance to an imaging subject in a depth direction.
