Abstract:
A Rankine cycle device provided with a circuit comprising a lubrication section lubricated by lubricating oil. The circuit is formed by connecting in the following order: a pump for transferring a working fluid; a heat exchanger for heating the working fluid transferred by the pump; an expander for outputting mechanical energy by expanding the working fluid heated by the heat exchanger; and a condenser for condensing the working fluid expanded by the expander. The working fluid and the lubricating oil have a two-layer separation temperature at which the working fluid and the lubricating oil separate from each other. The substance that separates from the working fluid when the two-layer separation temperature is exceeded is used as the lubricating oil by the pump during operation.
