Title:
RANKINE CYCLE SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/136617
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In a Rankine cycle system of the present invention, part of a liquid-phase coolant boiled in a coolant passage of an engine changes to a gas-phase coolant. The gas-phase coolant is superheated by a superheater that superheats by heat exchange with engine exhaust and becomes superheated vapor. The superheated vapor passes through the superheater and is blown into a turbine to rotate the turbine, and thereafter is condensed in a condenser. The turbine is connected to an output shaft of the engine via a power transmission route and a clutch device is provided in the power transmission route. A turbine exit valve is provided between the turbine and the condenser, and if the power transmission route is blocked by the action of the clutch device, an electronic control unit (ECU) closes the turbine exit valve.
