Abstract:
This Rankine cycle includes: a waste heat recovery device which exchanges heat between cooling water exiting the engine and exhaust gas exiting the engine; a heat exchanger which is provided with an evaporator into which the cooling water exiting the engine flows and which recovers the waste heat of the engine into the refrigerant, and with a superheater into which cooling water exiting the waste heat recovery device flows and which recovers the waste heat of the engine into the refrigerant; an expander which generates power using the coolant exiting the heat exchanger; a condenser which condenses the coolant exiting the expander; and a coolant pump which is driven by the expander and which supplies, to the heat exchanger, the coolant exiting the condenser. The cooling water exiting the superheater converges with the cooling water exiting the evaporator and returns to the engine.
