Abstract:
A Rankine cycle (101) comprising in sequence a cooling water boiler (112), a waste gas boiler (113), an expander (114), a condenser (115), and a pump (111) comprises an ECU (130) and comprises a temperature sensor (142) or a pressure sensor (141), the temperature sensor (142) detecting the temperature of a refrigerant at the inlet of the expander, the pressure sensor (141) detecting the pressure of the refrigerant at the inlet of the expander. The ECU (130) controls the temperature or the pressure of the refrigerant on the basis of a target temperature or a target pressure which is set for the refrigerant at the inlet of the expander, and the ECU (130) determines whether or not an abnormality has occurred, the determination being made on the basis of either the state of divergence of the temperature detected by the temperature sensor (142) from the target temperature within a predetermined time period or the state of divergence of the pressure detected by the pressure sensor (141) from the target pressure.
