Abstract:
A rapid charging system for electric vehicles (4) includes above ground rapid charging interfaces (1) and an energy storage station (2, 8). The energy storage station (2, 8) is a battery group (3) with the power of at least 10000KW/H formed by at least 2 rechargeable batteries directly connected in series and/or parallel. The battery group (3) is trickle charged to a set power, and then charges the electric vehicles (4) via the above ground rapid charging interfaces (1). The charging energy from the above ground rapid charging interfaces (1) is supplied by the energy storage station (2, 8) directly. The charging system is simple in construction and can charge multiple electric vehicles (4) simultaneously without interfering with the utility power grid.
