Abstract:
Disclosed is a rare earth complex which comprises a rare earth ion and a ligand that is coordinated to the rare earth ion and has a fused polycyclic aromatic group. The fused polycyclic aromatic group is a residue that is obtained by removing a hydrogen atom from a fused polycyclic aromatic compound represented by formula (I) or (II).
