Abstract:
In the present invention, n iterations of a separation step (n≥2) are performed, the separation step including a step for forming an aggregate by adding an organic compound having an amino group and a polymer having a carboxyl group to a solution containing a plurality of rare earths, a step for separating the aggregate from the solution containing the plurality of types of rare earths, a step for forming a rare-earth hydroxide by adding a base to the separated aggregate, and a step for forming a lysate by adding an acid to the rare-earth hydroxide. Also provided are a step for finding the individual amounts of each of the plurality of rare earths contained in the lysate in the n-1th separation step and the total amount, and a step for determining the added amount of the organic compound having the amino group and the polymer having the carboxyl group in the n
th separation step on the basis of the individual rare-earth content and the total content.
