Abstract:

Each core wire (20) embedded in a V-belt main body (10) of a raw-edge V-belt (B) for a transmission is configured from a plied yarn wherein a plurality of first-twist yarns in which a filament bundle of 2,000 dtex to 3,000 dtex polyester fibers has been first-twisted in one direction are drawn and aligned, and the plurality of first-twist yarns are then final-twisted in the direction opposite that of the first twist. When the raw-edge V-belt (B) for a transmission is held in an atmosphere at a temperature of 120°C, the contraction force per 1 dtex of polyester fiber forming the core wire (20) and generated per belt length of 300 mm is 0.0015 N or greater.
