Abstract:
A three−sided razor (10) for use in styling hair. The present invention (10) has a case (70) to protect the blades (60) and the invention (10) while not in use. The present invention (10) is easily disassembled to allow for facile replacement of the disposable razor blades (60) along each side. There are variant numbers of teeth (40) along the triangular guard (20, 25) to create a different style for each side utilized.

Claims:
CLAIMS I Claim:
1. A razor device, comprising: a first guard and a second guard; comb teeth attached to said first guard or said second guard; at least one set of attachment members, removably attaching said first guard to said second guard; and at least three razor blades, disposed between said first guard and said second guard.
2. A razor device as in claim 1, wherein said first guard and said second guard are triangular in shape.
3. A razor device as in claim 1, wherein said comb teeth are attached in fixed communication to said first guard or said second guard.
4. A razor device as in claim 1, wherein said comb teeth are attached in removable communication to said first guard or said second guard.
5. A razor device as in claim 1, further comprising a hinged case which covers said first guard, said second guard, said comb teeth, said at least one set of attachment members, and said at least three razor blades.
6. A razor device as in claim 1, wherein said at least one set of attachment members are screws.
7. A device as in claim 1, wherein said at least one set of attachment members are clamps.
8. A razor device as in claim 1, wherein said at least three razor blades are disposable.
9. A razor device as in claim 1, wherein said first guard and said second guard are constructed of plastic.
Description:
THREE-SIDED RAZOR DEVICE FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention is generally a three-sided razor that is used for various hair design techniques, and more specifically a razor with three replaceable blades, and a plastic casing including comb teeth.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION There are many different hair styling products on the market for cutting one's hair. There are combs and shears that can layer hair, and feather the hair style. There are perforated scissors that have one side of combs and the other side as blades. These scissors can give a layered effect to the hair style. There are also many barbers and stylists that use electric or straight razors to shave or trim hair on the nape of the neck, or on men's sideburns. Electrical razors have the inherent problem of not shaving close enough. Straight razors are dangerous to use due to the factor that they must be very sharp to function properly and they have no protective covering.

Also, existent on the market are combs and styling brushes for styling hair. Most of these products do not include a means for cutting hair. They are strictly for styling purposes and do not. include a means for cutting hair. There are also disposable razors on the market that have a straight handle and a series of blades together at the top. These razors are intended for shaving the person fully, and do not have teeth to create a layered style. Many of these razors also have no means to replace the blades, and the entire razor must be disposed of when the blades dull.

The razors that exist that have replaceable blades have all the blades in a central location, as do the disposable razors.

U. S. Patent no. 5,450, 671 issued to Harshman on September 19,1995 shows a hair trimming device. Harshman's invention is unlike the present invention because it has two razor blades for trimming instead of three, it does not have a series of toothed edges for different styles of hair, it is intended primarily for female pubic regions, and it does not have a protective case.

Japanese Patent no. 05-115630 issued to Nobuyasu, et al. , published on May 15,1993 shows a hair cutter. Nobuyasu's invention is unlike the present invention because it has one fixed and one sliding blade, it is intended to cut hair in an even fashion, instead of a feathered style, it has a hinge mechanism to close the blades around the hair, it does not have teeth to create different styles, it is not triangular in shape, and it does not exhibit a protective case.

Japanese Patent no. 02-198507 issued to Shoji, et al. , published on August 7,1990, exhibits a hair cutter. Fujikawa's invention is unlike the present invention because it has a motor, it has a method for removing cut hair and dust from around the hair styling site, it has a fan to remove hair from the razor blade, it does not exhibit a tri-blade system, it does not exhuibit teeth to create different styles, and does not include a protective case.

Japanese patent no. 02-161978 issued to Shoji, et al. , published on June 21,1990 exhibits a hair cutter. Fujikawa's invention is unlike the present invention because it has a hinge mechanism, it has a mechanism for holding the hair stationary, it uses only one blade, it does not have a tri-blade system, it only has one set of teeth to set the cut of the hair, and it is not triangular in shape.

Japanese patent no. 54-121873 issued to Kazuhiro, published on September 21,1979 exhibits a hair cutter. Kazuhiro's invention is unlike the present invention because it has movable grooves, it has an operating handle which holds the hair in place for cutting purposes, it is not triangular in shape, and it does not have a tri-blade system.

Japanese patent no. 54-097149 issued to Masao, published on August 1,1979 exhibits an electric hair cutter. Masao's invention is unlike the present invention because it is electric, it has two blades instead of three, it has a hair receiver for clipped hair, it is arch-shaped not SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention is a tri-blade razor system for trimming hair with guards for creating different styles. The present invention is of a triangular shape with rounded edges at each angle. There are three disposable blades inclusive one on each side. The blades are disposable conventional razor blades, which are attached to the present invention by means of screws or clamps. The razor blades are surrounded by a guard that has different teeth sizes on each side that can create a different cut.

The guard is made of plastic and can create different cuts by means of the different sides of teeth. There is one side of the guard that has many teeth that are evenly dispersed, and a second side with teeth that are fewer the first section however still evenly dispersed, and a third side with the fewest amount of teeth of the three sections however also still evenly dispersed.

Therefore on one side of the invention the teeth allow more hair to pass through the blade than the other two sides. If the hair stylist wants a blunt cut style, they can cut the hair with the blade down and the teeth up. In this position the hair does not pass through the teeth on that side. If the hair stylist wants a sliding cut, they can cut the hair with the teeth down and the blade up. In this position the stylist can decide which side of teeth that they wish the teeth to go through, and therefore determine the definition of the out.

The present invention has a central point that gives ease with the turn of the invention, so the stylist may quickly switch from one blade to another. The present invention also has a two-part case that fits around the entire invention. The case protects the present invention while not in use. In further embodiments of the present invention, there are additional teeth plates that can be attached to the plastic guard to allow the stylist to have further choices in the cut of the hair. triangular, and it has a clipped hair reservoir.

Therefore a need has been established for a razor blade system that has disposable blades on three sides and a protective cover that can be rotated and change the cut.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Figure 1 shows an environmental view of the present invention as fully assembled.

Figure 2 shows a front view of the present invention with the case attached.

Figure 3 shows the present invention as disassembled, and gives a clear view of all of the components.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT (S) The present invention is a tri-sided razor blade cutting system for use in hair styling. The present invention has three disposable razor blades, two triangular plastic sides, a center circular region through the depth of the invention, a case that has two parts, comb teeth to create different cuts, and a series of screws to connect the two triangular pieces to each other, and to securely attach the razor blades into the present invention.

Figure 1 exhibits an environmental view of the present invention (10) as fully assembled. The first triangular guard (20) is made of a durable plastic and has a center circular region (30) that creates a turning mechanism for the present invention (10). The circular region (30) allows the stylist to have a point on the present invention (10) to easily hold on to, and a facile point for turning the present invention (10) so that they may create several different looks with the same tool. Also shown are the three disposable razor blades (60) and the comb teeth (40) that create the different styles and cuts of the hair. The teeth (40) are spaced evenly along each edge of the second triangular guard (25, Figure 3). The teeth (40) are in variant numbers on each side of the second triangular guard (25, Fig. 3) so that the stylist may create different effects with each side of the present invention (10). The screw attachments (50) that attach the first triangular guard to the second triangular guard (Figure 3). The screw attachments (50) are easily removed for replacement of the three disposable razor blades (60), and to clean the separate parts of the invention if there is a need. The three disposable razor blades (60) are conventional razor blades, and are therefore easy to replenish upon use.

Figure 2 exhibits a frontal view of the present invention (10) as fully assembled. The present invention is shown inside the case (70) that is circular in shape and has a hinge (80) for ease of closure. The case (70) is made of a plastic that is durable and easily cleaned. The hinge (80) in this embodiment is a screw attachment not unlike the screw attachments (50) as shown in Figure l. The hinge (80) allows the case (70) to be closed in a secure manner around the present invention (10). The case (70) protects the present invention (10) while it is not in use.

Figure 3 shows the present invention (10) as disassembled and gives a clear view of each component. The screw attachments (50) and razor blades (60) are clearly displayed to the left of the figure. The teeth (40) are shown as part of the second triangular guard (25), which were in the back of Figure 1. The first triangular guard (20) is slightly smaller than the second triangular guard (25) due to the teeth (40) assembled as a congruous part of the second triangular guard (25). Also shown are the two components of the circular region (30). The larger component of the circular region (30) attaches to the first triangular guard (20), and the smaller component of the circular region (30) attaches to the second triangular guard (25). There is a screw attachment (not shown) that is slightly larger than the three screw attachments (50) which fits through the center of the circular region (30).

In a separate embodiment of the present invention the teeth (40) are not attached to the second triangular guard (25) in a congruous manner but instead are removable, either as one piece with all the teeth, or as a perforation where the stylists may attach only the wanted teeth.

In this manner the stylist can change out the teeth to create many styles.

The present invention (10) is not limited to the sole embodiments described above, but all embodiments within the scope of the following claims.
