Abstract:
This invention provides a process for producing an RE123-based oxide superconductor, characterized by comprising (i) applying a pulsed laser beam to an oxide-based target material containing RE, Ba, and Cu satisfying the following formulae (1) and (2) to form a plume and (ii) forming an RE123-based oxide superconducting film while holding the base material in the plume: 0.8 ≤ 2RE/Ba < 1.0 (1); and 0.8 ≤ 3Ba/2Cu < 1.0 (2) wherein RE represents one or at least two of Y, La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, and Er.
