Abstract:
Disclosed is a reaction system for preparing a polyphenyl ether having a small molecular weight. The reaction system comprises a first reactor (1) and a second reactor (2) which are connected to each other, wherein a first discharge port (12) on the first reactor (1) is connected to a second feed port (21) on the second reactor (2), a second discharge port (22) on the second reactor (2) is connected to a first feed port (11) on the first reactor (1), the first reactor (1) and the second reactor (2) form a circulating reaction system, a second discharge port (22) on the second reactor (2) is also connected to a separator (3), and a cooling device is arranged outside the first reactor (1). Disclosed is a method for preparing a polyphenyl ether having a small molecular weight. The method involves preparing a polyphenyl ether having a small molecular weight by using 2,6-dimethylphenol as a raw material and using the reaction system.
