Abstract:
A reaction system of organic substance employing a supercritical fluid or a sub-critical fluid and operable industrially with a high energy efficiency in which a reactive substance, e.g. an organic substance, can be injected in uniform state into a reaction machine without causing any clogging at the injecting section. The reaction machine (12) of the reaction system comprises a cylinder (12a) and a piston (12b) provided in the cylinder (12a). Vapor of fluid is compressed by operating the piston (12b) to produce a supercritical fluid or a sub-critical fluid and the piston (12b) is operated reversely upon finishing chemical reaction of the reactive substance in order to lower the temperature and pressure thus stopping reaction. The reaction system can be operated periodically by blowing new vapor of fluid into the cylinder (12a) simultaneously with taking out a product thus obtained from the cylinder (12a).
