1. Reactive polyurethane coatings (1) and characterized in that the coatings which are durable against washing, dry cleaning, ironing, chemical process and heat are made onto the top surface of the cloth (2) by slot die method without using solvent based chemicals.

REACTIVE POLYURETHANE COATINGS

Field of the Invention

The invention relates coatings which are made onto the any kind of cloth that is durable against washing, dry cleaning, ironing and chemical processes.

Background of the Invention

In the market, there are cloth coating methods such as acrylic coating, polyurethane coating, PVC coating, color coating. In the prior art, cloth coatings are generally made by means of water, solvent based materials. The coatings which are made by means of these materials are made by coating knife, a cylinder or template. These coatings become active by means of heat, water or any chemical and show interaction.

The cloth coatings which are made by classic methods are indurable against ironing, washing and dry cleaning. With the method found, such problems disappear.

This invention relates to reactive polyurethane coatings (1) and the feature of it is that the clothes which are coated with the invention can be ironed; they are not affected from heat; they are durable against any kind of washing and cleaning. By means of reactive polyurethane coating, the durability of the cloth is increased against washing in high degrees. They are manufactured by means of chemicals. The chemicals which are not dangerous in respect of human health are used.

The invention can be applied in places where any kind of artificial leather is used. It can be used in the fields such as bag, shoes, clothes, table cover, bed cover and shower curtain.

Except known methods, the invention is made by slot die. Slot die is a method in which the material is melted and then it is poured onto the top surface of the cloth (2) in film format by means of two plates; the hot material is transferred onto the cloth similarly between the cylinder or the material which has a certain pattern is given onto the cylinder and transferred to the cloth.

By means of the invention, it is provided that the product which is coated is not affected from heat up to 300 0 C and from chemicals. Production process provides cost advantage to the producers since it is cheaper and lasts shorter compared to the production of artificial leather. It does not include elements which threat human and environmental health since the solvent and solvent based chemicals are not used in manufacturing.
