Abstract:
The present invention relates to a reactor (1) provided with a coil (2) and a magnetic core (3) with a part that is inserted into the coil (2). The magnetic core (3) comprises inner core sections (31, 31) disposed on the inside of the coil (2), and outer core sections (32, 32) that are exposed with respect to the coil (2). The inner core sections (31) comprise a resin compact wherein a magnetic powder is dispersed within a resin and the relative permeability of the outer core sections (32) is greater than that of the inner core sections (31). Moreover, the outer core sections (32) are used in a form of a core compact (5) by being provided with a core mold section (5M) on their outer periphery. Of the outer surface of the outer core sections (32), the core mold section (5M) covers at least the portion facing outward from the reactor (1) and the portion facing the inner core sections (31). The core mold section (5M), disposed between the outer core sections (32) and the inner core sections (31), functions as a gap material for the magnetic core (3).
