Abstract:
A reactor and a reactor coolant emergency injection system, the reactor comprising a reactor core (1), a main pump (2) and a steam generator (3), the emergency injection system comprising an upstream channel (A) disposed between the main pump (2) and the reactor core (1) and providing coolant into the reactor core (1), and a downstream channel (B) disposed between the steam generator (3) and the reactor core (1) and transporting coolant which has flowed through the reactor core (1) to the steam generator (3). The upstream channel (A) is provided with at least one upstream injection opening (C) injecting coolant into the reactor core (1); the downstream channel (B) is provided with at least one downstream injection opening (D) injecting coolant into the reactor core (1). If one of the upstream channel (A) or the downstream channel (B) ruptures, an injection opening of the other can still inject coolant into the reactor core (1), which may prevent large-scale bypass of coolant injection caused by the rupture, improving effectiveness of emergency coolant injection into the reactor core (1) and improving accident mitigation capability of a nuclear power plant safety system, thereby raising safety levels of the nuclear power plant.
