Abstract:

Provided are a reactor with which stress possibly occurring during loading into a magnetic core can be reduced and ameliorated, and which has excellent manufacturability as well; and a method for manufacturing the reactor. This reactor is provided with a magnetic core which, in association with the excitation of the coil, forms a closed magnetic path, and which is provided with a coil, a plurality of core pieces, and gap members interposed between at least one set of core pieces, at least one of the gap members being an expanded resin gap member including an expanded resin part constituted by an expanded resin, in regions contacting the core pieces.
