Abstract:
A reactor equipped with a coil having a pair of parallel winding parts, a magnetic core having an inner core part and an outer core part, and a case for storing an assembly of the coil and the magnetic core, wherein: the case is provided with a base plate section on which the assembly is placed, and a side wall section having a section that faces the outer-peripheral surface of the outer core part; the magnetic core is configured from a composite material containing a soft magnetic powder and a resin, and is joined to the inner-peripheral surface of the sidewall section and the top surface of the base plate section at locations on the outer core part; and if the direction of parallel arrangement is defined as the direction in which the winding parts are arranged in parallel, the side wall section is provided with a notch which exposes the outer surface of one of the winding parts in the direction of parallel arrangement and/or the outside surface of the other of the winding parts in the direction of parallel arrangement to the outside of the case.
