Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a reactor output monitoring device suitable for monitoring axial-direction local output equivalent to a local power range monitor (LPRM). To achieve the foregoing, one representative nuclear instrumentation system of the present invention is characterized by being provided with metal-containing plates of different main components installed at a plurality of places in the axial direction of an instrumentation tube interior, and a gamma ray detection device that is installed outside of a reactor pressure vessel and measures gamma rays emitted by nuclear reactions between neutrons generated in the reactor and the metal-containing plates. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a reactor output monitoring device suitable for monitoring axial-direction local output equivalent to a LPRM.
