Abstract:
A compact reactor, which is capable of properly measuring the temperature of a coil, is provided. The reactor is provided with a coil (2) equipped with a pair of coil elements (2a, 2b), and a magnetic core having a pair of inner cores (31), each of which is positioned inside each coil element (2a, 2b), and an outer core connecting the inner cores (31) so as to form a closed magnetic circuit. The end surface shape of the coil elements (2a, 2b) has a corner R portion (21) in which the corners of a rectangle are rounded. In the coil elements (2a, 2b), a temperature sensor (7) is positioned in a trapezoidal-shaped space sandwiched between the corner R portions (21), which are positioned facing each other. The temperature sensor (7) is held by a holding part (54) disposed on an insulator in such a manner as to be in contact with the corner R portions (21), and is capable of properly measuring the temperature of the coil (2). The coil elements (2a, 2b) can be near each other due to the temperature sensor being positioned in an area where the inner cores (31) do not exist in the coil elements (2a, 2b). The reactor is thus compact.
