Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a reading device capable of expanding a readable range without impairing operability. [Solution] An RFID reader 1 comprising: an RFID unit 10 having an antenna 12 for reading information from an RF tag; a mobile information terminal 20 which acquires information from the RFID unit 10; and an extendable rod 30 which holds the RFID unit 10 and the mobile information terminal 20, and which can be extended and contracted. The RFID reader 1 is characterized in that the extendable rod 30: has a unit holder 32 which holds the RFID unit 10, and a terminal holder 34 which is provided on a handle 33 that is gripped by a user, and which holds the mobile information terminal 20; and can be extended and contracted so as to increase and reduce the distance between the sensor holder 32 and the handle 33.
