Abstract:
Disclosed is a compound which is useful for measuring active nitrogen species occurring in a cell, such as nitric oxide and peroxynitrite, with high sensitivity for a long period.  The compound is represented by general formula (I) [wherein R1 and R2 represent amino groups that are substituents to be located in adjacent positions to each other on a benzene ring; R3 and R4 independently represent a halogen atom; R5 and R6 independently represent a hydrogen atom, an acyl group or an acyloxy-(C1-6-alkyl) group; and R7 and R8 independently represent a group represented by -(CH2)p-N(R9)(R10) (wherein p represents 1 to 4, and R9 and R10 independently represent -(CH2)n-COOH wherein n represents 1 to 4)].
