Abstract:
A rear body structure for vehicles, comprising a rear side frame and a rear sub-frame arranged below the rear side frame and extending in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body. The rear side frame and the rear sub-frame each comprise a side frame-side load absorption section and a sub-frame-side load absorption section, respectively, that absorb impact loads when an impact load from the vehicle body rear acts on the vehicle body rear side from an auxiliary machine. The side frame-side load absorption section and the sub-frame-side load absorption section are provided such that: the rear end section of the sub-frame-side load absorption section is arranged further on the vehicle body front side than the rear end section of the side frame-side load absorption section; and the front end section of the sub-frame-side load absorption section is arranged further on the vehicle body front side than the front end section of the side frame-side load absorption section.
