Abstract:
Provided is a rear cross traffic alert device that enables a driver to understand that it is not possible to provide notice of an object (another vehicle or the like) in the region directly behind the host vehicle.
This rear cross traffic device is equipped with: an object detection unit that detects the existence of objects to the rear of the host vehicle; a movement determination unit that determines whether an object has entered a prescribed region within the detection region for which the object detection unit is able to detect the existence of objects; and a warning control unit that stops notification when the movement determination unit determines that the object has entered the prescribed region.
