A rearview mirror having an instrument display function and a control system thereof. The rearview mirror comprises an LED lamp, a glued phosphor (5), and glass (1). The glued phosphor (5) is located between the LED lamp and the glass. Light emitted by the LED lamp passes through the glued phosphor (5) so as to be transmitted to the glass (1). The glued phosphor (5) comprises a body (51) and an extension portion (52). The body (51) is flush with the LED lamp. The extension portion (52) is located above the body (51) and is higher than the LED lamp. An outer surface of the body (51) and an outer surface of the extension portion (52) each form a light-emitting region. The control system of the rearview mirror comprises an OBD (001), an MCU (002), and an LED lamp. The OBD (001) is used to acquire rotational speed and vehicle speed information, and to transmit the information to the MCU (002). The MCU (002) receives the information, generates control information, and transmits the control information to the corresponding LED lamp for display. A display area of the rearview mirror is large, thereby solving the technical problem in the prior art of the display area of a rearview mirror having an overly small instrument display.
