Abstract:
In a rearward image display control device (10), a planimetric feature position image generation unit (13) extracts an image of a planimetric feature from a rearward image, which is an image captured of the rearward of a vehicle, and generates a planimetric feature position image indicating the position of the planimetric feature in the rearward image. A rearward image display control unit (14) displays, on a display device, a first rearward image which is a rearward image having superposed thereon a planimetric feature position image, in the case where the luminance of the rearward image is less than the luminance threshold value, and displays, on the display device, a second rearward image which is a rearward image not having superposed thereon the planimetric feature position image, in the case where the luminance of the rearward image is not less than the luminance threshold value. A psychological load amount calculation unit (16) calculates, on the basis of driver information including biological information of a driver and/or an image captured of the driver of the vehicle, a psychological load amount incurred by the driver when the first rearward image is being displayed. A luminance threshold value adjustment unit (17) adjusts the luminance threshold value on the basis of the psychological load amount incurred by the driver when the first rearward image is being displayed.
