Abstract:
A receiver of ultra-wide band communication system using Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing. In the receiver, an FFT part (603) performs Fourier transformation of received signals to produce a demodulated data symbol sequence. A power measurement part (631) measures the total power of the pilot and guard subcarriers of the demodulated data symbol sequence to set a threshold value. A collision detection logic processing part (633) determines that a collision has occurred among symbols when the measured total power of the subcarriers is greater than the threshold value, while determining that no collision has occurred among symbols when the measured total power of the subcarrier is smaller than the threshold value. A time despread part (604) performs a time despreading of the demodulated data symbol sequence in accordance with a result of determination by the collision detection logic processing part (633).
