Abstract:

This receiver device comprises: a broadcast reception unit that receives broadcast signals including both a broadcast program and those pieces of tag information which are transmitted, for at least some of the scenes of the broadcast program, temporally in association with the respective ones of said at least some of the scenes and which include information necessary for acquiring related information that is related to the broadcast program; an application control unit that acquires an application and an application information table, in which at least both operation control information of the application and identification information for identifying tag information including information for identifying related information used by the application are described, and that controls the operation of the application on the basis of the table; and tag information processing unit that acquires, from the received broadcast signals, the tag information on the basis of the identification information described in the application information table and that acquires, on the basis of this tag information, and supplies the related information to the application being executed.
