Abstract:
A receiver tank comprising an elongated, closed vessel provided with an inlet (24) and an outlet (25) for a liquid refrigerant to store therein the liquid refrigerant, an opening formed on top of the receiver tank (2), an engagement member (20a) detachably engaged with the opening to close the same, a filter member (22, 28) abutted against the engagement member (20a) to remove impurities in the refrigerant, and a dryer (23) attached to the filter member and provided therein with a desiccating agent. The closed vessel comprises inner and outer double-pipes (16, 17) which communicate to each other at the upper portions thereof but do not communicate to each other at the lower portions thereof, and the filter member (22, 28) is provided on the communicating area at the upper portions of the double-pipes in contact with the engagement member (20a).
