Abstract:
In order to improve the accuracy of estimating a covariance matrix (RI+N) on the basis of a data signal, in this interference rejection combining (IRC) receiver (10): a data signal is configured in such a manner as to be transmitted in a pair of space frequency block codes (SFBCs) comprising two resource elements; an estimated covariance matrix (RI+N) is configured in such a manner as to include a first covariance matrix (RI+N) (2m) comprising desired signal components in even-numbered resource elements in the pair of SFBCs, and a second covariance matrix (RI+N) (2m + 1) comprising desired signal components in odd-numbered resource elements in space frequency block coding scheme units; and a covariance matrix averaging unit (13) and a covariance matrix generation unit (16) are configured in such a manner as to perform an averaging process on the elements inside the first covariance matrix (RI+N) (2m) and the elements inside the second covariance matrix (RI+N) (2m + 1), as a predetermined process.
