Abstract:
According to the present invention, a LIDAR 1 is provided with; an APD 41 that receives return light Lr which is obtained by reflecting, by a target object, emission light Lo that has been irradiated from a scanning part 55; and a DSP 16. The DSP 16 is provided with: a shot noise estimation unit 77 that estimates, on the basis of an output signal from the APD 41, information on an amount of background light which is obtained by reflecting solar light by the target object and is received by the APD 41; and a voltage control unit 78 which determines an application voltage to be applied to the APD 41 so as to control a gain M of the APD 41, on the basis of the estimated information on the amount of background light.
