Abstract:
This invention relates to a receiving device and method which make it possible to achieve diversity in receiving a signal having a transmission parameter in a temporally specific position. The receiving device is provided with: two demodulations units which have the same structure; a signal synthesis unit which synthesizes multiplexed signals from the two demodulation units; and a transmission parameter processing unit which extracts the transmission parameter from the signal synthesized by the signal synthesis unit and supplies the extracted transmission parameter to each of the two demodulation units. This invention can be applied, for example, to receiving devices that receive OFDM signals.
