Abstract:
The present technology relates to a receiving device, a sending device and a data processing method that make it possible to prevent the wasteful destruction of a packet. The receiving device performs error detection processing using an error detection code included in a header of a transmission packet, a plurality of which are arranged in a payload of a baseband packet after demodulation, and which comprises a header including the error detection code and a payload in which is arranged an IP packet including a UDP packet. The present technology can be applied to data transmission compliant with broadcasting standards such as ATSC 3.0, for example.
