Abstract:
This receptacle connector (2) compliant with the USB standard enables a USB plug connector (20) compliant with the USB standard and comprising a first contact, a first insulating material (21) which holds the first contact, and a plug shell (22) which covers the first contact and the first insulating material (21) and in which a first fitting part is formed to be fitted thereto and removed therefrom along a fitting direction, and comprises a second contact, an insulating material which holds the second contact, and a shell (4) which covers the second contact and the second insulating material and in which a lock part (12b) which holds the plug shell (22) in a direction in which the release of fitting is prevented, an electric connection part (14), and a second fitting part (10) which is fitted to the first fitting part are provided. The lock part (12b) is provided near the leading end of a spring part (12) extending in the fitting direction, and the center point (32) of the width in a pitch direction that is a second contact arrangement pitch direction of the base (12a) of the spring part (12), and the center point (34) of the width in the pitch direction of the lock part (12b) have a relationship in which the central point (32) of the base is located farther from or closer to the center line (30) of the width in the pitch direction of the shell (4) than the center point (34) of the lock part (12b).
