Abstract:
The present technology relates to a reception device which makes it possible to reliably play back content, and a data processing method.
The reception device receives the content and, on the basis of time correspondence information obtained by associating first time information provided from the content transmitting side with second time information generated on the content receiving side, controls the playback of the content along a time axis corresponding to the first time information associated with the second time information. The present technology may be applied to a television receiver adapted for ATSC3.0, for example.
