Abstract:
Disclosed is reception device that can reduce average power and peak power by pseudo-synchronizing a satellite signal during sleep periods. The reception device comprises: a reception unit that receives signals from a satellite; a frequency conversion unit that converts the frequency of received signals to a predetermined intermediate frequency; a synchronous capture unit that performs synchronous capture and detects carrier frequency; and a synchronous holding unit that allocates and sets spreading symbol phases and carrier frequencies to each satellite for each of a plurality of channels independently provided to correspond to a plurality of satellites, synchronously holds with spreading symbols and carriers, and demodulates messages contained in intermediate frequency signals. The synchronous holding unit includes a spreading code generation unit that generates spreading codes synchronous with the spreading symbols and, during sleep periods when position measurement is not performed, the synchronous holding unit operates only the spreading code generation unit and the counter that the synchronous holding unit browses is operated at the same time by the reception device.
