Description:
RECESSED CEILING LIGHT

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention refers to a recessed ceiling light.

The present invention can be applied advantageously in a recessed ceiling light to be installed, for example, in a Turkish bath or other external environment to which the following description specifically refers but without any loss of generality.

In particular, the present invention refers to a recessed ceiling light of the type comprising a box- shaped containment body; and a lighting device housed inside said box-shaped body.

DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION

It is an object of the present invention to provide an improved recessed ceiling light that is simple and economical to produce and more functional than the known recessed ceiling lights of the type described above.

According to the present invention, there is provided a recessed ceiling light as set forth in the appended claims .

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The present invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings which illustrate a non-limiting embodiment thereof, in which:

figure 1 is an exploded perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the recessed ceiling light of the present innovation; and

figure 2 is a longitudinal section of the recessed ceiling light of figure 1.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

In figures 1 and 2, designated as a whole by number 1 is a recessed ceiling light suitable, for example, for installation in a Turkish bath or other external environment .

The ceiling light 1 comprises a box-shaped containment body 2 comprising, in turn, an annular frame 3 that is substantially square shaped, which has a substantially vertical longitudinal axis 4, can be fitted inside a cavity 5 obtained in a masonry structure 6 of the Turkish bath, has a substantially horizontal outer edge 7 that can be blocked vertically between the masonry structure 6 and a coating 8 of said masonry structure 6, and is provided with a plurality of substantially horizontal fastening pins 9.

Obviously, according to an alternative embodiment that is not shown, the ceiling light 1 may be installed in a vertical wall of the Turkish bath with the axis 4 arranged horizontally.

The box-shaped body 2 also comprises an annular 'supporting frame 10 which is sridingly coupled to the frame 3 through engagement of the pins 9 in relative vertical slots 11 in the frame 10, and is blocked vertically in a known manner on the frame 3.

The box-shaped body 2 also comprises a bell-shaped structure 12 which is arranged with its concavity facing downwards, has a substantially vertical peripheral edge 13 coupled to the frame 10 with a fluid-tight seal obtained through insertion of an annular washer 14, and is delimited above and to the sides by two cup-shaped walls 15 that extend one (hereinafter designed by number 15a) above the other (hereinafter designated by number 15b) and, together, define a diffusion chamber 16 that is able to communicate with the external environment by means of a plurality of openings 17 obtained through the frame 10.

The wall 15a, together with the frame 3, the masonry structure 6 and the frame 10, defines a first fluid-tight chamber 18 that houses a loud-speaker 19 which is fastened to the wall 15a and faces the inside of the chamber 16 through an opening 20 obtained through the wall 15a and closed by said loud-speaker 19.

In use, the sounds generated by the loud-speaker 19 are broadcast in the external environment and, thus, in the Turkish -bath through the diffusion " chamber 16 and the openings 17.

The wall 15b is closed to the bottom by a panel 21 of transparent material, preferably but not necessarily glass, which is coupled in a fluid-tight manner to the bell-shaped structure 12, and, together with the wall 15b, defines a second fluid-tight chamber 23 which houses a lighting device 24 that is fixed to the wall 15b.

The device 24 comprises a plurality of LEDs 25 of different colours (including white) of which the functioning and activation sequence are controlled selectively by an electronic card 26 which is fastened to the wall 15a inside the chamber 18 and may be connected to a remote control device (not shown) by means of a wired connection system (not shown) .

Functioning of the ceiling light 1 can be easily deduced from the above decoration and does not require further explanations . ' .
