A balance weight (21) comprises: a main weight section (22) located within the range between an arc-shaped peripheral edge (22C) centered on the rotation shaft hole (24) side and a pair of imaginary end faces (22D) located on both sides of the arc-shaped peripheral edge (22C) with the rotation shaft hole (24) sandwiched between the pair of imaginary end faces (22D); a pair of extension weight sections (23) extending from the pair of imaginary end faces (22D) of the main weight section (22) in the direction opposite the arc-shaped peripheral edge (22C) with the rotation shaft hole (24) sandwiched between the pair of extension weight sections (23); the rotation shaft hole (24) located on the center side of the arc-shaped peripheral edge (22C) and provided in the main weight section (22); a crankshaft mounting protrusion (25) provided protruding from the rotation shaft hole (24) in the direction opposite the arc shape; a crankshaft hole (26) provided in the crankshaft mounting protrusion (25) so as to be radially eccentric relative tothe rotation shaft hole (24);and a pair of air gaps (27), which are each formed between each of the sides of the crankshaft mounting protrusion (25) and one of the pair of extension weight sections (23).
