Abstract:
The present invention relates to a reciprocating compressor and, more specifically, to a reciprocating compressor which enables frictional resistance reduction on coupled parts between a crankshaft, a connecting rod and a piston, and simple assembly of components. A reciprocating compressor according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a crankshaft coupled to a rotor of an electric motor unit and transmitting the rotational force; and a connecting rod coupled to a pin part of the crankshaft and converting the rotational force of the crankshaft into the linear motion of a piston. The connecting rod comprises: a tube-shaped body having a pin insertion hollow into which the pin part of the crankshaft is inserted; a shaft connection part having a socket part protruding from the tube-shaped body; a piston connection part formed on the opposite side from the shaft connection part and coupled to the piston; and a rod part formed between the shaft connection part and the piston connection part and having a ball bearing which is accommodated and coupled inside the socket part.
