Disclosed is a reciprocating electric shaver (1) provided with a pair of driving blocks (200, 210) having drivers (130, 140) which drive blades (54) and having balance adjusters which engage with the drivers (130, 140). The drivers (130, 140) in the pair of driving blocks (200, 210) move in a reciprocating manner in an opposite phase from one another. The balance adjusters (220, 230) and the drivers (130, 140) in the driving blocks (200, 210) are positioned on the opposite side from one another in relation to the axis of a moment generated by means of the reciprocating movement of the drivers (130, 140). The balance adjusters (220, 230) and the drivers (130, 140) are thus positioned so as to suppress the aforementioned moment.
