Abstract:
A rear crank mechanism consists of a rear crankshaft (11) as an engine output shaft, a rear crank serving also as a flywheel (12), and a rear crank connecting shaft (10). A front crank (13) is provided on the inner side of the rear crank serving also as a flywheel (12), and a lower portion of the front crank (13) is supported rotatably on the rear crank serving also as a flywheel (12) in the vicinity of a lower dead point via a front crank fulcrum shaft (14), an upper portion of the front crank (13) being provided in a front crank connecting shaft (9) with an elliptic bore (27) in which a rear crank connecting shaft (10) is loosely inserted, a crank connecting portion (7) of a connecting rod (6) being supported pivotably around the front crank connecting shaft (9) via a roller bearing (8). The front crank (13) receives a compressive force of a spring (22), which is provided in a receiving portion (19) at a rear side of a spring inserting bore in the rear crank (12), via a front spring bearing (24), and it is in the position of the front crank connecting shaft shown in Fig 1. Owing to the employment of the above-described two crank mechanisms, the downward explosive starting force can be taken out as a lateral force of the front crank connecting shaft (9) and further a rotational force of the front crank (13). Accordingly, this explosive starting force can be converted efficiently into a rotational starting force.
