Abstract:
Provided is a reciprocating tool capable of ensuring dustproof performance and waterproof performance inside a gear case. In a saber saw 1 provided with: a motor 41; a gear case 23 having an upper cover 231 and a gear cover 232 that opposes the upper cover 231; a gear part 5 that is housed in the gear case 23 and converts the rotation of a motor body 41 and a motor shaft 42 into a reciprocating movement in a predetermined direction; and a plunger 6 that has a blade attachment part 62 attachable to a blade P, is supported by the gear case 23 in a reciprocally movable manner, and is driven by the gear part 5 so as to make a reciprocating movement in a predetermined direction, the plunger 6 is inserted in a reciprocally movable manner in a predetermined direction, and a sealing material 7 that is held by the upper cover 231 and the gear cover 232 and seals the outer circumference of the plunger 6 is provided.
