Abstract:
A recognition support system comprising: an object detection device (2) which detects objects in the periphery of a host vehicle; a direction sensing device (3) which senses the direction in which a driver is about to turn when turning right or left; a range setting device (S120) which sets a notification range in accordance with the sensed direction; a narrowing-down device (S130-S190) which defines from among the objects those that are autonomously mobile as specified objects and, on the basis of the states of the specified objects, narrows down the specified objects that are present within the notification range into those that are to be presented to the driver; and an information presenting device (51, S200) which presents information so as to cause the driver to recognise the presence of the narrowed-down specified objects.
