Abstract:
Provided is a genetically engineered bacterium. The bacterium co-expresses α-hydroxyl carboxylic acid dehydrogenase, L-amino-acid oxidase, and any one of groups consisting of free exogenous L-glutamate dehydrogenase, exogenous L-lactic dehydrogenase, or a co-expression combination of glucose dehydrogenase and tyrosine phenol lyase, and genes except for those related to a phenolic compound decomposition are knocked out. The genetically engineered bacterium can be used for producing optically pure 3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-hydroxypropionic acid. Also provided is a method for producing tanshinol by using the genetically engineered bacterium.
