The present disclosure relates to a recommendation information acquisition method, a terminal and a server, which fall within the technical field of communications. The method comprises: receiving a second telephone number sent by a referrer; according to a first telephone number of a local end, a telephone number of the referrer and the second telephone number, sending a recommendation information request to a server, so that the server generates recommendation information according to the recommendation information request, and pushing the recommendation information to a terminal in which the second telephone number is located. In the disclosure, a recommendation information request is sent to a server by receiving a second telephone number sent by a referrer, so that the server generates recommendation information according to the recommendation information request and pushes the recommendation information to a terminal in which the second telephone number is located. The terminal in which the second telephone number is located can prompt the current incoming call according to the recommendation information, thus facilitating a user communicating with a user of an incoming call from an unknown unmber. Hence, the flexibility of incoming call prompt is relatively good, and the effect is relatively good.
