Abstract:

Provided is an existing pipe reconditioning method for winding an existing pipe lining band-shaped member (2), which is molded of a thermoplastic resin to have joint portions (21) at the two widthwise end portions, helically by inserting it into an existing pipe (10). A tubular reconditioned pipe (20) is formed by fitting the joint portions (21), as adjoining to each other when wound, of the band-shaped member (2) on each other. Moreover, the band-shaped member (2) of the reconditioned pipe (20) is deformed through a heating step, at which it is subjected to a heat treatment by heating means so that it follows the shape of a curved portion (13) of the existing pipe (10). Thus, the band-shaped member (2) is integrated with the inner circumference of the curved portion (13) of the existing pipe (10).
