Abstract:
To provide a low-cost recordable optical recording medium having a single-layer light transmission layer, and a recording layer containing an organic pigment, said recordable optical recording medium exhibiting little asymmetry in the playback signal, and enabling the recording/playback of data using light in a wavelength of 300-500nm. [Solution] A recordable optical medium provided with a substrate (10), and, laminated on the substrate (10) in the following order: a reflective layer (11); a recording layer (12) containing an organic pigment; a protective layer (13); and a single-layer light transmission layer. The recording layer (12) is formed from an organic pigment having a kick-off temperature of 240℃ or less.
